Vendor pricing

Bitdefender GravityZone pricing: the value EDR for cost-led buyers.

Bitdefender consistently scores well in independent detection testing while pricing below the marquee EDR vendors, which makes GravityZone the default value pick for cost-sensitive SMBs. The tier names are confusing; this page maps which one actually includes EDR and what it costs at scale.

Pricing verified June 2026
The short answer

Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security Premium, the tier that includes EDR, costs around $95.89/device/year (about $8/device/month) based on aggregated reseller pricing as of April 2026. The cheaper Business Security and Business Security tiers below it are prevention-focused without full EDR, and Business Security Enterprise (which adds XDR and advanced investigation) is custom-quoted. Bitdefender does not publish standard list pricing for the enterprise tier, so these are aggregated buyer-reported figures.

Aggregated buyer data, not a vendor list price. Bitdefender GravityZone does not publish standard per-endpoint pricing. The figures below are aggregated from public reseller catalogues, marketplace listings, and buyer-reported quotes (see aggregated reseller catalogue and buyer-reported pricing and our sources page), cross-checked June 2026. They are estimates, not quotes. Always get the number in writing.

The entry tier that delivers genuine EDR (continuous telemetry, behavioural detection, threat hunting, and response actions) is Business Security Premium (~$95.89/device/year). Cheaper tiers in the table are NGAV or prevention-only and do not give you the post-incident investigation trail that defines EDR.

What it costs at your size

Worked annual figures at the entry EDR tier, before negotiation. Use these to size the budget line, then run your own numbers in the budget calculator, which layers deployment, tuning, and internal operating cost on top of the licence.

Licence only. Deployment, tuning, IR retainer, and internal operating cost sit on top: see the five TCO categories. At SMB scale the licence is roughly half of true all-in cost.

Four ways to bring the Bitdefender GravityZone number down

Buy multi-year up front

Bitdefender's reseller catalogue prices 1, 2, and 3-year terms, and the per-year rate drops materially on the 3-year SKU. If you are committed to the platform, the longer term is the cleanest saving.

Confirm you are on Premium, not the base tier

Business Security (the base) is prevention-only. Only Business Security Premium and above include EDR. Cost-led buyers sometimes quote the cheaper base tier and discover it does not satisfy an EDR requirement.

Use the competitive-upgrade SKUs

Bitdefender offers discounted competitive-upgrade licences for buyers switching from another EDR. If you are migrating off CrowdStrike or SentinelOne, ask the reseller for the competitive-upgrade price.

Decide on MDR deliberately

GravityZone MDR is a separate managed bolt-on. It is the value-tier path to managed response, but price it explicitly rather than assuming it is in the Premium licence.

When Bitdefender GravityZone is the right pick, and when it is not

Right pick if
  • + You are a cost-sensitive SMB or mid-market shop that still wants strong, independently-tested detection.
  • + You want the lowest credible per-device EDR list price among the established vendors.
  • + You are migrating from a pricier EDR and can use a competitive-upgrade SKU.
  • + You value a single console covering endpoint, sandboxing, and optional MDR.
Wrong pick if
  • You need the very top of the MITRE ATT&CK rankings or the lightest sensor: CrowdStrike and SentinelOne lead there.
  • You are on Microsoft 365 E5: Defender for Endpoint P2 is already included at no extra licence cost.
  • You only need the base Business Security tier: that is prevention, not EDR.
  • You require a vendor on a specific insurer or auditor recognised-list that excludes Bitdefender.

Bitdefender GravityZone pricing questions

How much does Bitdefender GravityZone cost per device?
Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security Premium, the tier that includes EDR, costs around $95.89 per device per year (about $8 per device per month) based on aggregated reseller pricing as of April 2026, cross-checked June 2026. The base Business Security tier is cheaper (around $77 per device per year) but is prevention-only without full EDR. Business Security Enterprise (adds XDR) is custom-quoted. Bitdefender does not publish a standard list price for the enterprise tier.
Which Bitdefender tier includes EDR?
Business Security Premium is the entry GravityZone tier that includes EDR (endpoint detection and response plus cloud sandboxing). The base Business Security tier is NGAV and risk analytics only, without full EDR. Business Security Enterprise sits above Premium and adds XDR, advanced investigation, and threat intelligence. If you need EDR for compliance or cyber insurance, Business Security Premium is the minimum tier.
Is Bitdefender cheaper than CrowdStrike or SentinelOne?
Generally yes at the entry EDR tier. Bitdefender Business Security Premium at roughly $95.89 per device per year sits near CrowdStrike Falcon Pro ($99.99) but below SentinelOne Complete (~$179.99 per endpoint per year), while scoring well in independent detection testing. This is why GravityZone is the common value pick for cost-led SMBs. The trade-offs are a slightly heavier sensor and lower placement than CrowdStrike at the very top of MITRE evaluations.
Does Bitdefender offer managed detection and response?
Yes. GravityZone MDR is a separate managed bolt-on that adds 24/7 managed detection and response on top of the platform licence, custom-quoted by scale. It is the value-tier path to managed response for organisations without in-house analyst capacity. Price it explicitly with your reseller rather than assuming it is included in the Business Security Premium licence.
